Alignment Week: Neutral Good
Good Morning.
When we were playing D&D growing up, all us made characters who were Neutral Good. Getting a young understanding of the various Alignment options, this is the one that made sense.
Oh, you might not be a nerd. Hold on; let me clarify things with a chart:
It was only a few weeks ago that I was having a conversation with someone, and they inadvertently gave me clarity into something I’d never realized:
I’m real-life Neutral Good too.
“Believe in trying to do what’s right but not bound by laws, social norms, or tradition.”
So look back now at the first image. I was very surprised to see that NG is only the third most popular Alignment. Obviously no one plays Evil characters — it makes it hard to run most campaigns. But it appears that players love to play Chaotic characters. In essence this gives them the freedom (and maybe recklessness) to go with the flow and do anything they want for a given situation. This too makes sense. Even if I hadn’t thought of it before.
What’s your Alignment? (Real life OR in D&D.)

I think I'm Neutral Good. The one time I roleplayed a character for a while (in an online MUD, not D&D), I played a True Neutral. I have difficulty even roleplaying any kind of evil character, like in a video game. I'm too wired against it.
My natural tendencies are Lawful Good, but I've been (deliberately) trending more towards Neutral Good.
