Facebook Settlement

Good Morning.

Evan received yet another settlement check. He keeps applying and keeps getting $8 checks or whatever. Maybe they’re $40 checks. They’re not $500 checks, that I know.

I don’t click these.

Okay sure it’s $40 more than I had yesterday, but I can’t do it.

I truly was about to include the rest of the URL and just let the first person who noticed hand-type it and collect my money, but I can’t be sure there’s no PII in that process.

What I hate about this:

1. I’m just giving them MORE info about me

2. It DOESN’T just take a minute because using a card with $37 on it is inevitably a partial payment method toward anything I’m buying with it, and that’s surely a pain

3. I need to do SO much research before I trust this isn’t a phishing attempt

4. The lawyers get $180 million

Side note, King of Torts was the last John Grisham I read book before I stopped reading him, that’s how much I hate the way this business works.
